On This Day In Sioux Falls History – 1967 – Former Augustana College Vikings halfback Les Josephson is voted to and plays in the NFL Pro Bowl. Josephson was a stand out at Augustana and after being picked up by the Los Angeles Rams in 1964 he would remain with the team for 10 seasons. His best season came in 1967when he rushed for over 800 yards.

In a career plagued by injury Les was still able to make himself a fixture of the Rams offense for nearly a decade. Upon his retirement his 3,407 rushing yards put him at 3rd place on the Rams all-time rushing leaders list! Josephson would go on to do some acting out in Los Angeles after football!
